MOSCOW: Secretary-level trilateral talks between Pakistan, China and Russia will be held on December 27 in Moscow on restoration of peace in Afghanistan.
Foreign Secretary
Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry will represent Pakistan in the talks.
According to foreig
n media reports, Russia is gravely concerned over expansion and growing influenc
e of the terrorist group Islamic State in Afghanistan an
d it wants to p
lay an active role to bring different stakeholders to a negotiating table with reference to Afghanistan. This is the main reason that Russia wants cooperation from Pakistan and China to find out solution to this issue.
