MUZAFFARABAD: The Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) government on Tuesday ordered a probe into the illegal appointments in the local government (LG) departments during the previous government’s tenure.
According to a notification issued by the Service and General Administration department, a two member committee had been constituted and ordered to submit its report on this matter within 15 days.
Environmental Protection Agency Director General Raja Razzaq Khan has been directed to head the committee while the Serv
ices (Rules) Additional Secretary will be a member of the committee.
During the tenure of the previous Pakistan People’s Party government, hundreds o
f appointments, up to grade 18, were allegedly made by then Minister Ch
Yaseen on a polit
ical basis without following
the rules and procedures.
